help a child succeed. Big Brothers Big Sisters is different from
other mentoring organizations in that we seek volunteers
who are committed and consistent, willing to serve for at least
a year (Community Based Programs) for for at least one school year (School Based Programs), but we hope until a child graduates high school. |

Canadian Cancer Society The Canadian Cancer, Huron-Perth Unit is dedicated to fighting back against cancer. Volunteer and get involved with Relay For Life. Volunteer Drivers are needed to take people to cancer-related appointments. Other opportunities include information outreach (presentations and displays) or being a Community Connector volunteer representing your community. Individuals with moderate computer skills also needed to assist with administrative tasks. Transportation Dispatch Volunteer The Canadian Cancer Society, Huron-Perth Unit requires a transportation dispatch volunteer to dispatch rides to cancer-related treatments between trained Society volunteer drivers and clients. This position requires assertiveness, organizational skills, excellent communication and listening skills, problem solving abilities, intermediate computer skills and a weekly 4 hour commitment. Previous dispatch or office experience would be an asset. Orientation, training and support will be provided for this two year position.
